About
I believe that women of all backgrounds should be afforded excellent care in every aspect of women’s health. I am committed to providing the best care possible in a women centred, reassuring and evidence based approach. I take great pride in my work and understand the importance of every woman having complete confidence in the doctor of their choice.
I am an Adelaide trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in all aspects of women’s health. After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 1992, I worked for two years in Paediatrics and Neonatology before deciding that Obstetrics and Gynaecology was my calling. For the next 4 years I worked in the major teaching hospitals in Adelaide, obtaining Membership of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1998. I completed my Fellowship training in the United Kingdom before returning to Adelaide, commencing in private practice in 2002.
I specialise in both low and high-risk obstetrics and all areas of gynaecology. If required, I can manage high risk pregnancies at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, North Adelaide where I currently hold a position as a Senior Visiting Obstetrician. I have previously held the position of Consultant in Gynaecology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was the visiting gynaecologist to the Southern Fleurieu region, consulting at Victor Harbor and operating at South Coast District Hospital for 20 years.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and enjoy training registrars, medical students and student midwives. I currently serve Burnside Hospital on both their Perinatal and Clinical Incident Review Committees.
